Proudest oyster accomplishments to date:
Being the person that all of my friends (and social media connects) go to for oyster info and recommendations.
I love getting people to try their first oyster! More than that, I feel very accomplished when I convince a casual oyster-eater to properly taste them.
My annual “Birthday Week Oyster Challenge” once produced 18 dozen, of which I personally consumed roughly half of those oysters.
Dream oyster destination: One day I’d like to visit New Zealand, and try some Rock and Bluff Oysters. Before that, I’m targeting a trip to South Korea this fall (2024), which I believe will have plenty of oyster-eating possibilities.
Favorite thing about being an OMG member: The community! I’ve never felt so welcomed and encouraged by a group of people, especially being an “outsider.”
